Our business is very conscious of the amount of general clothing that is sent to landfill every year – the amount is a staggering 1 million tonnes* of clothing sent to landfill each year. (*source www.reclaimfashion.com)

 We have a commitment to make sure none of the work clothing we dispose of goes to landfill – working with the support of our customers all old or unwanted clothing is recycled. 

We have sample garments and redundant stock that have no logos – these go to Barnardo’s where they are issued to those that need them most.

Other clothing that carries company logos goes to our recycling partner L M B - details can be found at: www.lmb.co.uk  We deliver the unwanted clothing to LMB where they are sorted and graded depending on condition and fibre content.  Clothing in good condition is mixed with other suitable garments and bundled for export overseas where it is resold through small business enterprises that generate work and income in deprived areas. 

Other clothing that is damaged, or for security reasons cannot be resold is stripped and made into rags for use as industrial wipes.
